Our Family Is Your Team

Working side-by-side since 1990, Paul and David are uniquely attuned to the interrelation between family and money. Paul and David are joined by Frank Abel, an associate of The Ferrucci Company for more than twenty years. Together, they comprise The Ferrucci Company family – your team.

Paul and his wife Jennifer have lived in Essex, Connecticut for 20 years. They have four children: Andrew (24), Ben (22), Charlie (19), and Hanley (16). Their fifth ‘child’ is a really spoiled 13-year-old yellow lab named Baxter.

Paul’s oldest son, Andrew, loves coaching high school soccer, basketball, and lacrosse for The Williams School, located on the campus of Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut. In addition to coaching, Andrew is pursuing an undergraduate degree with the goal of teaching and coaching in a private school setting. Ben and Charlie are students at Paul’s – and their grandfather’s – alma mater, Trinity College. Ben, a member of the class of 2020, and Charlie, a member of the class of 2023, are proud ‘Bantams’ playing on Trinity’s lacrosse team, just as Paul did when he was a student at Trinity! Hanley, after spending the summer of 2019 learning how to drive, is now a sophomore at Pomfret School. With the Trinity and Pomfret campuses less than an hour from home, Paul and Jen see their kids most weekends; whether to watch Hanley play soccer or lacrosse, or to cheer for Ben and Charlie on the lacrosse field at Trinity.

When Paul and Jen are not on the sidelines of soccer and lacrosse games, you might run into them walking Baxter to downtown Essex so he can enjoy a swim in the Connecticut River. And, like most yellow labs, Baxter lives for food; unfortunately for Paul and Jen, not everything he eats is actually edible!

Balancing time between work and play is something Paul learned as a student-athlete at Trinity College. He was the starting goalie for the Bantams through all four seasons of his college career, competing in the nationally competitive New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). In the classroom, Paul majored in history, gaining an appreciation for how the past shapes the present and future; a critical aspect to Paul’s work with clients today.

Following Trinity, Paul spent two years working as a project coordinator for an engineering firm in Connecticut. Afterward, in 1991, Paul joined The Ferrucci Company. In many ways, Paul is still a project coordinator, helping individuals and couples coordinate their financial lives so they can spend more time enjoying memorable moments with their families.

More than a decade after earning his bachelor’s degree, Paul returned to Trinity College to pursue graduate studies – together with David – in the field of economics, and earned a master’s degree in 2008. Paul also completed the Private Wealth Management Graduate Certificate Program through the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.

Paul has served on several community and club boards, including the Essex Library Association and the Essex Yacht Club. As Treasurer of each, he helped both organizations budget and plan for extensive building renovations. Also, after spending many spring seasons coaching several youth and high school lacrosse teams, Paul “retired” from coaching and now enjoys watching his children play the sport he grew up playing. And Jen is happy to have Paul back on the fans’ sideline!

Like so many of our clients, one of Paul’s greatest joys is taking time to simply be with his family; Andrew, Ben, Charlie, and Hanley are always happy to trade a long hug for an off-campus meal with mom and dad!

David L. Ferrucci

Managing Partner | [email protected]

David's expertise in wealth management has developed through more than thirty years of interpersonal experiences with individuals and family units, as well as through a lifelong commitment to academic research. After completing his undergraduate degree through Trinity College, David obtained a master’s degree through Columbia University where he researched money’s effect on family dynamics. He then returned to Trinity and completed a master’s degree in economics, concentrating in both portfolio management and behavioral finance. Most recently, David concluded a third master’s program, through Wesleyan University, further studying individual decision-making in the context of personal finance.

Throughout his career, David has served on numerous boards and committees, including positions at Trinity College, Bowdoin College, and the Connecticut River Museum.

David and his wife Michele have been married more than twenty-five years, raising their three children – Maddie, Ella, and Nicholas – in Essex, Connecticut. Most weekends during the school year, David and Michele can be found somewhere in New England watching their kids play various sports. When not in Essex or on the sideline of an athletic field, David and his family enjoy spending time together on Cape Cod.

David also enjoys playing golf with family and friends, and taking long walks with Michele and their dogs!

Frank and Jeni have been married 12 years, and they are the parents of two daughters: Reese (9) and Reagan (6). As much as they love to stay home playing board games and watching movies together, Frank, Jeni, and the girls are usually on the go! Soccer games, dance recitals, and long hikes throughout the Connecticut River Valley keep them plenty busy. Farther afield, mid-coast Maine and Block Island are two of their favorite vacation spots.

Frank’s personal interests include reading non-fiction, fishing, crabbing, the New York Yankees, and camping in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. But New England isn’t the only region where Frank has ventured; he has been to 49 of our 50 states. (You’ll have to ask him which state remains unchecked!)

Frank has worked alongside Paul and David since 1999, specializing in – as David once wrote – “kindness, patience, thoroughness, persistence, and friendship!” There is, however, so much more to Frank than being a nice guy. A graduate of Colby-Sawyer College’s program in Business Administration, he has a keen understanding of where, why, and how the various pieces of one’s financial puzzle fit together best.
